英國街頭小店嘅老闆，終於等到一個皇家級別嘅禮遇。四間獨立社區小生意嘅東主，全部獲皇家御用畫家親筆繪製正式肖像，以紀念英國高街 175 週年。
41 歲嘅 Simon Dafforn-Jones 呢個夏天收到通知，佢喺 Dittisham, Devon 嘅酒吧 Ferry Boat Inn 嘅老闆身份，獲選由曾於 2022 年繪製威爾斯王子同王妃官方肖像嘅畫家 Jamie Coreth 親筆繪像。 Jamie 喺佢 Devon 嘅酒吧取了一組照片，Simon 之後飛到 Wiltshire 畫室坐定。 Simon 話：「It’s just incredible. It doesn’t happen to people like us does it. To be picked at random, out of the blue, rather than entering a competition is amazing.」 佢哋呢間酒吧由佢同佢老豆 16 年前接手，係當地社區嘅重要聚會地。
另外三間小店各有其東主同御前畫家： Barnsley 嘅 Ocean Fish Bar 嘅東主 Pindy Kaur，由三度為已故伊麗莎白二世女王繪像嘅 Nicky Philipps 畫。 Nicky 形容係「privilege」，仲話 Pindy 係「fish and chip queen of the north」。 Glasgow 嘅 University Café 嘅東主 Gino Verecchia，由曾喺威爾斯時期為嘉咸三世繪像嘅 Gareth Reid 畫。 倫敦 Catford 嘅便利店 Torridon Convenience Store 嘅東主 Kaual Patel，由曾為安妮公主繪像嘅 Nick Bashall 畫。
呢四幅肖像畫完之後，喺倫敦 Saatchi Gallery 免費公開展出，由今日開始至 11 月 1 日。 呢個活動係由 Coca Cola Great Britain 贊助，以「慶祝」獨立小生意喺社區嘅角色。
